Recent Trends in Global HRM
HRM is the process of recruiting & developing of employees. Further it includes conducting job analysis, planning personal needs, recruiting right people to right positions, training, managing compensation & benefits & evaluating them etc. Current model of HR functions are changing with the globalization & to be more strategic to adopt with the same trends.

Some of the recent emerging trends in global human resources management can be listed as follows.

Globalization & its implications:
The today’s business does not have national or physical boundaries & it has linked around the world as globally. There are lots of multinational companies worldwide, who functions business transactions worldwide. The HR department of same companies needs to ensure that the proper mix of staff members is available to bear with this globalization. In order to meet this requirement, the current organizations should train & develop its staff members to meet the challenges of globalization. As an example in 2017 there were 230,000 Nos of employees are working for HSBC as full time & part time basis worldwide 67 Nos of Countries (Source: HSBC – Wikipedia). Some companies offer foreign training & workshop opportunities to gather this experience for its staff members. According to Edquist (1997) innovation of existing technology considered as the introduction of knowledge & skills in to the organization

Workforce Diversity:
This means similarities & differences among the staff members in terms of age, gender, culture, race & religion. In large private organizations HR has considered this workforce diversity to meet the future business requirements with the expansions. Organizational cultures have been changed due to this reason compared with the previous office cultures.

Employee expectations:
Currently the most employees are talented, educated & experienced enough for demanding within the organizations for higher personal benefits. The efficient & effective organizations are currently required to manage & retain these type of staffs through proper planning, developing & appropriate compensation benefits. This is a modern trend in global HRM to retain talented employees for the organization. The existing cultural norms & values of the organization can play a significant role in the employee expectation & its related responsibilities within a given culture (Kickul, Lester & Belgio, 2004).

Family work life balance:
With the current trend HRM have to work it out that every employee’s family to some extent is a happy one. Most companies currently organized lot of activities for staff’s family members. Annual staff trip for family members for local sometimes even overseas trip, medical benefits for family members, insurance schemas for immediate family members, kids parties, price giving for special achievements of kids of staff are few some activities, which are currently introduced by the some companies to motivate staff as well as family members to the organization.

Conclusion:
HR departments of all organizations have to pay attention for the globalization & its implication. Further it should consider workforce diversity, employee expectations & family work life balance, which are the most important trends in global HRM.
